She told me that her favorite color is blue so I tried to make my exchange as blue as possible. :)

For the exchange I bought a paper mache box from Joann and I covered it up with cotton fabric. The lid is painted with acrylic paint @ Martha Stewart. I made a scissor fob and a greeting card as well and I added few extras for my friend to use on her next projects.
I love “Les brodeuses parisiennes”, their designs are wonderful. I was very happy to see this bag for sale on The French Needle website. The finished bag was in the kit, I just did the stitching. I'll be using it to carry my stitching stuff when I go stitching at Stitcher's Paradise or my friends houses.
Wasn't in my plans to stitch Libertyville because of the price tag of the kit. But Stitching bits and bobs sold it with 50% off and I could not resist. :)
I have not spent too much time posting on my blog lately but I stitched a lot and I have some of my latest finishes to show you. Most of them still need framing but that will have to wait a little bit.

Knowing that she loves fairies I’ve made a note book and added on the cover a freebie from Passione Ricamo. I’ve send her some extras too: finishing fabrics, linen, trimmings, silks, charts, charms, buttons, decorative pins, French Market Flea musical decorative set, shipping labels and stickers with her logo… The thank you email from Nina was wonderful. She is a special person and I am happy I’ve met her and we became friends thanks to blogging world.

Mine is not the happiest but I'm getting more positive as days go by. I am very close to share with you some finished pieces… you just have to be patient with me for couple of weeks. :)
Patty asked me to share the site from where I’ve got the last biscornu design. Click HERE to find it.

I signed up for the Sampler au bouquet by Jardin Prive SAL hosted on Au Plaisir De Croix blog. Just noticed that first deadline was March 25th. In my mind for some reason was April 1st… I will be paying more attention next time! :)

Here is my progress. I love, love, love this design and it’s a joy to stitch it.
I guess this is what really bugs me… cross stitching is my hobby and having days going by without a stitch take some joy you out of my life.

Today, after going on the USPS website to check if my packages got to destinations and reading that they were delivered I smiled and opened my files with pictures… because I have something to talk about! (Happy dance! :))

Last year I was part of 30 exchanges and I am proud that I sent out in time about 90% of them. I am really sorry that Gillian and Lisa had to wait longer for my last 2 pieces. And I am WIP with my private exchange for Nina. She was a darling to understand my personal problems that keep me away from stitching and finishing.

Months ago I’ve stitched this lovely design – a freebie from Barbi’s blog and I got to do the finishing last week. It is the last bisconu I’ve stitched as part of the monthly Please Pass the Biscornu Exchange. Unfortunately because the host left the exchange without any notice to us the participants, everything got very frustrating, especially when the exchange blog was deleted too… :( We used our emails to communicate and keep the exchange going as much as possible. I have not received from everybody I’ve sent to but what is important for me is that nobody can say that about me as of today. At the end of the day I can say that I am very happy with my lovely collection of bisconus. :) Thank you ladies!
I have hope that all the payers and wonderful thoughts will bring sunshine in our lives. Thank you!
A new blogger is looking for friends. :) Her name is Sara and she’s a great stitcher, florist and photographer. You can check out her blog here: Pieces of life by Sara

I don't have new stitching to show you... I’ve stitched this lovely flowers awhile ago having in mind a gift for my daughter’s birthday but I cannot get together myself to work on finishing. Next week my sister will have her last chemo therapy session and hopefully after that I will have my heart and mind a little bit more relaxed.

This design is so lovely and came out so delicate and soft. I loved Nina's choice of colours and she was a darling to share with me the information about the threads she used.
(picture heavy post)

Happy new year to all my followers and readers! Hope everybody started 2011 with a positive attitude. I’ve sure tried to do so…

I took a break from blogging because we had a very emotionally stressful end of the year. My dad had a second stroke and we almost lost him. A miracle happened and he’s still with us. My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer, had surgery and she started chemotherapy. Please keep them in your prayers and thoughts. As you can imagine I haven’t done too much stitching.

All I can show you is my exchange to Eniko as part of the SWAP 5 hosted by Nina. I’ve made for Eniko a sewing box and I hope she will find it useful. I’ve filled the box with some goodies and send it out priority mail at the beginning of December. Well, they say that for priority takes 6 to 10 days… she just got it this week!
Now I want to show the wonderful exchanges I’ve received last month! From Nina, as part of our private exchange this GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS box full of extras… scissors, tape measure, lace, charms, threads, fabric, a vintage thimble and more! :)
Many of you have already seen these beautiful pictures but I’ve asked the OK from Nina to post them here too.

My exchange for her is not finished yet, am working on it and I will show you pictures as soon as she will receive it.

Nina, thank you again for everything! You know how much I will treasure this box!
I have 4 more exchanges to send till the end of this year. I’m planning a giveaway sometime in February next year and after that in 2011 I will be stitching only for me. Well, maybe I will surprise my friends, ones in awhile, with a little gift. :)

For my stitching pal Lisa I’ve made a thread holder and a couple of fall themed ornaments… a great opportunity for me to try out shrink plastic and make some buttons. It was soooo much fun!

Autumn Song by Blackbird Designs caught my eye awhile ago… and this exchange was a great opportunity for me to stitch it. I decided to change the colors and I used Nina’s Threads and TGA.
Next week I will post about all the lovely exchanges I’ve received lately!
June was my LNS’s month of discounts. What a joy for my wish list! LOL One of my purchases was this darling design by The Shepherd’s Bush. I've had a lot of fun stitching it! The finishing will have to wait for a bit… I am stitching now the Gingerbread Garden Sampler by Victoria Sampler and I plan to do the finishing on both at the same time.
She received it and she wrote me she likes it. That makes me happy! :)
It is so much fun to try to find new designs and finishes for her every month.
I get the chance to try new things and to find out how much I love some designers that I ignored before. So far I am very happy with the decision I’ve made that 2010 will be my exchanging year! :0)
A designer that I now love, love, love is Shepherd’s Bush!

For Bonnie , as part of monthly biscornu exchange I stitched the Elizabethan Needle Cushion.
Today I had the opportunity to make some progress on Delicate Grapes and to sign up for the store’s Bird Club. The gift for signing up was this lovely box full of goodies!

I had Anne’s name and after checking out her wish list I’ve decided to stitch for her Trésors d'antan from Au fil des rêves.
Makes my heart to jump for joy reading that she loves it!
From Lillie I’ve received this darling scissor keeper. She was worried that I would be disappointed because she said it’s not a perfect finish. No need for worries Lillie! I love this scissor keeper from your choice of design to finishing. Thank you so much.
What a nice addition to my exchange collection.
Beautifully stitched and finished for me by Rosalie (no blog) as she had my name in Becky’s exchange. The pin pillow is stuffed with crushed walnuts. Thank you so much!
I’m going to sign up for as many exchanges I can handle and I’m sure that by Christmas I will have a nice variety of stitching pieces in my collection. Some of my friends said that I was bitten by the exchange bug too hard. Are they right?

In March, as part of the monthly biscornu exchange I’ve stitched for Mayte the Stitcher’s Favorite Biscornu by The Sweetheart Tree.
This is not all, dear friends! LOL
Becky hosted a Pin Pillow Exchange and I stitched for Ranae this Small Token from Blackbird Design after I’ve read on her profile that it’s one of her favorite designers. The funny part is that she stitched the same design for her partner. :)
